Tiergarten Records was set up in 2016 by Robin Jax, an autistic musician based in Birmingham, UK. Originally launched to showcase his own music, with his album Teardrop Girl-Star LP – released under his solo alias RobinPlaysChords – being the label’s first release, the mission of Tiergarten has now expanded to be a home for neurodiverse musicians of all backgrounds. The label releases music in digital and physical formats, the latter in small quantities with a focus on unique, high quality packaging. Robin and Tiergarten were featured in an article in The Guardian on access for autistic people to live music.
